Production Supervisor -

Our client is a wholly owned subsidiary of a multinational manufacturer of operable partitions and washroom cubicles to the commercial building and fit-out industry. With over 100 years in the industry, they are leaders in their field and export their products around the world. Due to growth, they now have an outstanding opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join their Tullamarine facility.

This is a hand's on role where you will be responsible for leading a team of 6 staff on the day shift and your duties will include;

Providing daily direction and supervision to your team

Planning and scheduling the resources required for production

Oversee the manufacture of quality products from component fabrication to assembly and shipment

Lead cost reduction and process improvement initiatives

The idea candidate will come from a cabinet making background and have the following qualifications and experience;

A minimum of 2 years shop floor supervision

Proven ability to lead, motivate and influence a team

In-depth knowledge of current manufacturing techniques including Lean Manufacturing and 5S

Effective organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines without sacrificing the detail

Previous experience gained in the manufacture of kitchens, office furniture, laminating, or wardrobes will be highly regarded.
