Our client is a wholly owned subsidiary of a multinational manufacturer. With products that include operable acoustic panel walls, a sophisticated range of glass walls, washroom cubicle systems and sound management, for the commercial building and fit out industry. They have over 100 years experience in the industry, are leaders in their field and export their products around the world. Due to recent changes in the NSW sales team, they now require experienced, dynamic & enthusiastic sales professionals to join the team. Reporting the QLD Sales Manager, your focus will be to develop new business.
This is a specified sales role, where you will be selling to Architects, Designers, Construction companies and Builders. Not only will you be developing new business, you will be responsible for ensuring the job is completed in full, on time and to budget. This aspect of the role requires so your internal sales and relationship building skills to be second to none.
The key elements to the role are as follows:
· To proactively source sales opportunities with new clients.
· Promote product awareness to architects and provide design and specification assistance, in the form of meetings and presentations.
· Implement, monitor and review sales plans on a weekly basis to ensure achievement of order intake targets and associated budgets.
· Complete and submit to the State Manager a weekly activity and monthly market reporting.
· Achieve nominated performance targets.
· Utilise pre-determined pricing policy to achieve profit forecast.
· Ensure all products are represented in the marketplace.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and project records and submit these, including weekly sales reports, within specified time frames to the State Manager
· Obtain detailed information for the preparation of competitive quotations/proposals best suited to the client's requirements and providing optimum returns to the company.
· Advise the State Manager of any matters which may affect the Company's ability to comply with tendering conditions, the contract and/or quality plan, or which may have an effect on the outcome of the project.
To be successful in the role, you will have the following expertise:
· Sound knowledge of the demand cycle in the building industry.
· Technical aptitude.
· Strong communication and negotiation skills
· Ability to represent yourself and our client in a professional manner, from the boardroom to the construction site, ensuring high levels of customer service.
· Highly self-motivated & proactive approach to sales.
· Excellent time management and prioritisation skills and ability to maintain a sense of urgency for completing tasks within given timeframes
· Strong attention to detail
· Demonstrated ability in establishing and maintaining efficient administrative processes and procedures
· Demonstrated ability to generate new business and maintain existing customer relationships.
· Previous exposure to the building, construction and/or manufacturing industry is desirable.
